Look at Me!

So Mommy went to slept in her room and shut the door. And Daddy was suppose to be watching us, but he was tired too, so he went to slept on the couch. I figured with both parents asleep I could do whatever I wanted to. So I found the camera (which they never let me play with) and took pictures. See what a good photographer I am!

Aww, Man…

While we were visiting Jason, Seporah picked up the phrase “Aww, Man!” from him. It is incredibly cute whenever she says it and she says it like 10 times a day. Consequently Steven and I have picked it up in our language. Example:

It’s 4:50am, Mom is about to go to work and Dad wakes up.
Dad: Did you just feed Felicity?
Mom: No, she slept the whole night! *Note-this would be the VERY first time that has happened*
Dad: Aww, Man!
Mom: What do you mean “Aww, Man?!?!”
Dad: That means she’s going to wake up any minute and I’m going to have to feed her *Note-amazingly Mom did not kill Dad for this comment, even though mom has not slept at the very most more than 5 hours at a time since she begin terrible morning sickness with said baby over a year ago*

Still sick and my new job

Well, I have been far sicker than I am now, or have been this go around, but I have never been sick this long. Märia and I got sick last Thursday, the 22 of May. We really haven’t had any respite since then. Yesterday I still had a 103.7 fever and today I am still up over 100. And that isn’t even the worst, but the worst isn’t fit for public consumption. Ewwww =)

So I have a new job. I work as an Audio/Video Tech in a television studio! The station is TV2. I always thought of AFN as the only army/military station, but apparently Hawaii has their very own station that is piped into all the Hawaiian military installations, barracks, hospitals, and can be specially requested from the local cable company by soldiers living off base.

My new job so far has been to set up cameras and sound systems. Lots of mixers, mics, speakers and amps. We have done lots of ceremonies and celebrations and so forth. I am also learning video editing and video transferring. There is lots to learn and I actually work all day long. This is really a first for me in my military experience. I never have had a job where I have work to do that takes all day. I have to decide at the end of the day what to finish quick and what to leave for tomorrow!

I will talk more about it later, but it is lots of fun. Tired now and going to sleep.

Popcorn and Talking Animals!

So Mommy and Daddy just took me out of the movie theatre and they are so excited that I sat all the way through the movie. I am not quite sure why. They are making a bid deal that the movie wasn’t aminated or something. I think that means that the movie didn’t look like it was made with colors. Don’t they know that it doesn’t matter if the movie is made with colors or with real peoples? All that matters is that there were talking animals! And the yummy popcorn helped too.

Update

Today we went to the park, flew a kite, blew bubbles, had a picnic, shopped for a frame, ate ice cream, played at the toy store, watched Prince Caspian and then ate at a Mexican place. That was our day together. I’d write the details, but I am really tired.

In the Last 3 Days I Have…

Done about 8 loads of laundry.
Put away laundry.
Done dishes.
Picked up my room.
Cleaned the girl’s room twice.
Picked up the Living Room 4 times.
And I’ll tell you what the only room that is even close to clean is the bathroom (Steven did that one and we put those doorknob thingies on so Seporah can’t get in on them). I think I blew up last night, sorry. I mean in my mind Steven and I have 4 consecutive days off (we NEVER get that), so that means we should have a clean house, shouldn’t we, we have the time to clean it. Yeah we were pretty sick on Friday and Dad continued to be sick on Saturday and Sunday, but still. I don’t understand how when I look at the living room floor, there is an entire bag of popcorn dumped, 4 blankets, about 15 books, cereal, toys, styrofoam thingies, a screwdriver, 3 pillows, an entire thing of yellow stickies unstuck to each other, a pack of animal cards, and Seporah’s church dress there.

I read an article a couple days ago about the Perfect Body. Saying if we actually spent as much time as needed to have the ideal perfect body, we would be wasting so much of our lives and giving up so much in so many others area would it really actually be worth it? So I am going to try to apply this article to my house (no I don’t mean I’m just getting out of housework, you have no idea how much house work I actually do). At least for today and am going to ignore the mess and instead do something else Seporah and Felicity will appreciate. They don’t have a clue whether the house is messy or dirty.

Someday all my plates will match.
Someday there will be towels on the towel rods, not the bathroom floor.
Someday I will have the time to make a 4 course meal and actually eat it.
Someday my movie collection will contain something besides talking animals.
Someday I will be able to cross my Living Room without worrying about stepping on sharp objects.
Someday I’ll get my Master’s.
Someday I’ll be the Mother of the Bride (twice).
Today, I“m going to spend the entire day with my whole family.

Favorite Books that I have Memorized

picture-22.png
Olivia by Ian Falconer
Olivia is a very active toddler. A co-worker of mine read it and said, “I know why you like this book. It should be called Seporah not Olivia.” She was so right.

picture-61.png
Moo Baa Lalala by Sandra Boynton
Anything by Ms. Boynton is great. I choose this one because Seporah helps me by doing all the animal sounds. Miss Karen got us the first book. We also really like But Not the Hippopotamus.

picture-51.png
Baby Cakes by Karma and Sam Williams
Totally fun sing song book about my little babies.

picture-32.png
Ollie the Stomper by Olivier Dunrea
Another active toddler, although this one is a duck not a pig.

picture-12.png
Shake It Up, Bunny by Laura Driscoll and Norman Gorbaty
We don’t have the rattle that came with this book since we got it second hand. Another sing song book about a bunny.

picture-41.png
Cookie Kisses by Abigail Tabby and Barry Goldberg
This one came from Grandma Pam and I mean there’s kisses in the title.
