So Birthday Season is almost upon us. Mom’s birthday is October, Felicity’s in November, Seporah’s and Christ’s in December, and Dad’s in January. Let me start off by reminding everyone 4 people live in a 800sq ft condo on the 4th floor with no storage. The past 3 months we have spent a lot of effort getting a lot of stuff out of the house. Clothes, books, toys, junk. Living in such tight quarters means if you aren’t using it, it gets tossed. We finally have an almost organized house and this year we aren’t giving gifts. We know toys are fun to buy for children, believe me I know, but please no gifts this year. Cards, pictures, letters and all mushy stuff will gladly be accepted. Thank you, and now back to your regularly scheduled blog.
Pigtails
So Seporah likes Miss Karen better sometimes. She lets Miss Karen do her hair in pigtails and paint her nails, Mom not so much. Miss Karen even told me exactly how she did them. I did it, with the tricks and get temper tantrums. Seporah looks so cute in pigtails too. Felicity better let me do them when she’s older. I’d do it now, but she doesn’t have enough hair for pigtails.
Back from the Mainland
(Actually I’ve been back for a couple off days, but went straight back to work and so have ignored this little site).
Any-hoo.To really tell everything that went on during vacation would take a lot of paragraphs that no one would actually read (or at least that’s the way I do it, if someone’s post is too long, I skim and get the highlights, no time for actual reading). So here are the highlights of our vacation:
-We met my baby niece Emma (serious chunk-a-monk)
-I went to the zoo with Seporah and Ethan (Ethan was disappointed there were no horses there)
-My baby brother become an official adult (happy 18th birthday, woohoo!)
-I flew on an airplane by myself with a baby and a toddler twice (yeah, that was less than fun)
-We went to Odyssey 1 and played in the playplace and laser tagged (I got 8th out of 12 place)
-I saw a new Twilight preview on the Penelope DVD (November 21st, only 70 more days!)
-We did the Puyallup (fair that is)
-I made 9 big and 2 small reusable grocery bags (with mom’s help of course, you think I’m that talented?)
-I got 7 new pairs of earrings (again, the mommy made them for me)
-Chilled with Sarah S. and family (if you’re reading this, what is your website again, crazybananas.com?)
-Had fresh cherry tomatoes, fresh blackberries and fresh baked bread (this was all at Sarah’s house)
-Ate at the Olive Garden (if you didn’t know it was coming, you didn’t read the About Me page)
-Went to Target (again, About Me page, man I miss Target)
-Got pictures taken of the girls and their cousins (again less than fun, but good end results)
-Chuck-E-Cheese’s (where a kid can be a kid, is that still their slogan?)
-Ran two 5ks with my dad (34min 43sec baby)
–A couple more highlights I’m sure I forgot.
-And then…I came home… to a CLEAN house! (not that it’s clean anymore, it has been 3 days after all)
A Preschool Moment…
So I was asked today by two of my afternoon kids where goldfish crackers came from. I thought about it and was going to tell them that they probably bought them at Walmart or Costco. But before I could answer one of them asked… “do they come from the ocean?” Then the other child asked, “did you have to go and catch them.” I could hardly contain my laughter. So I called the other teacher in and had the children ask her the same questions. She too laughed and asked them if they smelt like they came from the ocean. Both the girls picked one up… put it to their nose and took a big sniff. Then in almost one unison voice they announced that … “yes, they do smell like they came from the ocean.” So it’s obvious that these girls were listening during circle time and the discussions that were made about water, who and what needs water, and how important it is for our world. And in the end… I don’t think we ever did tell them where goldfish crackers really come from. Hee Hee
Why must it be so difficult?

I have come to dislike shopping for food now. It takes way to long and requires Way too much money. I am the designated food shopper in the relationship. Never did it bother me before, but now it must be done in order to survive 🙂 . Being a child who lives at home or a student who eats often in a cafeteria isn’t required to know the important techniques needed to be a successful shopper. I no longer hold either of these titles but am now a WIFE. This requires a whole new level of smarts that they DO NOT teach you in any lecture session. I am slowly becoming aware of these skills.. am not skilled yet.. but am sure I will be soon. Wish me luck!
I thought walmart would be busy today being Labor Day and also being the 1st of the month.. but that part wasn’t bad. I honestly feel as if I got my work out today by just walking back and forth ALL over the food section.
Leavin’ on a Jet Plane
So the girls and I are going on a trip today, YEAH! It is very likely that I will be decreasing the amount of posts I post in the next 2 weeks. We are quit evil in that we are leaving a VERY messy house for Steven to clean. Whawahawaha. Wish me luck on the airplane.
I Have Reached Genius Level!
I have solved the rubik’s cube.

I dont know everything
I took Seporah to nursery yesterday and she started putting the chairs down for class. I went to help but she kept moving my chairs like I was doing it wrong. When the teacher came in she put two tables right where Seporah had put the chairs. I don’t know if I am ready to not know everything in my daughters life yet. 🙂
Free Fallin’
John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Jason Mrez, all 3 good laid back, soft alternative musicians that no one can keep straight. Let me help. John Mayer is the Mac guy. Jack Johnson is the Hawaiian guy. And Jason Mrez is what’s left over.
John Mayer just redid Free Fallin’. Initially I didn’t really like the remake (Steven still doesn’t). But after hearing it a few times, I can’t get it out of my head.
Twilight Update
So the movie was coming out Dec 12, now it’s Nov 21, say YEAH, that’s 3 weeks earlier! Not that I’m counting down or anything like that. BTW all 4 of my books are out being borrowed, I’m trying to convert as many people as possible to the amazing Twilight world.
Steven says I’m far too hyped up about the movie and it’s just going to be a let down because I’m expecting too much. I said he didn’t have to watch it if he didn’t want to.
