I was riding my bicycle around Pearl City yesterday when about 10 police officers on motorcycles zoomed down Kam Highway, and then another came up and closed off the whole lane forcing cars to turn down side roads and not allowing anyone on it. I didn’t know what was going on so I just sat and watched, not really having anything pressing to do. So after about 15 minutes (presumably so they could be sure the road was clear) police on motorcycles started coming down the highway at incredible speeds, one at a time. Some looked scared out of their minds, and some were actually kind of showing off, swerving at what must have been over 100 mph. I started counting after probably seeing 7-10 officers go by, and got all the way up to 35 not counting the first several. Then a parade of maybe 12 police cars came by, all going fast, but no more than 50-60 mph, surrounded by even more officers on motorcycles. Then I heard the helicopters and there were 3 police helicopters observing the whole thing. It was really fun to watch. =)
