My favorite children’s hymn is “My Heavenly Father Loves Me.” My daughters have heard it thousands of times from me. It’s my lullaby to them in place of more traditional ones. The girls have wanted to sing other songs to sleep lately. Ignoring there reluctance to the song, I tried once again to start singing it tonight before sleepy time, to which they both cried “NO!” and put in their requests of “Row, Row, Row Your Boat,” The ABC’s, and “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.” I was a little disappointed they didn’t let me finish my song.
Well keep singing about how much their Heavenly Father loves them and they will know it for the rest of their lives. Also, let them know how much grandparents love them, too!
I think it is okay to put a few Row, Row, Row Your Boats, the ABC’s, and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Stars in there, too. Remember a song of the heart is a prayer to God!
We love you and look forward to seeing you soon!
Grandpa Russ
I wonder why it’s your favorite. Any ideas?
Sing to them all you can; it’s a gift for them to share with YOUR grandkids someday. 🙂
Love you,
Mom
I love this song, too. Thanks for sharing the slide show.
Sing, sing, sing…
