Here are the new shows I am watching this fall season:
Defying Gravity: Looks like this has already been cancelled after only 8 episodes, at least this side of the pond (which unfortunately is all that matters when a shows productions costs are as high as this ones) Good show, basically it is a show about astronauts on a 5 year mission around the solar system, with a s001 Space Odyssey type “being” on board, although they don’t all know it at the beginning.
Community: Half hour sitcom about an interesting group of students at a community college. Think of “The Breakfast Club” in community college, except no one is high school aged, everyone is between 30 and 60 =) But they don’t all act their age. Very funny, short but there are only 3 episodes out yet, not sure if it will last.
Castle: This is actually the second season of this show, but I just picked it up last month and watched all last season. It is a hilarious show about a murder mystery writer who connects with a female detective, and uses his leverage with the mayor to get to be her “partner” helping her solve mysteries. It is a serious murder mystery show, plus a romantic comedy between the detective and the writer. Nathan Fillion of Firefly fame has found a great home here.
And shows I am continuing from last year:
Big Bang Theory: Märia summed this one up pretty well. Hilarious
The Office: Very very funny
Ok, that is it except for one last show that has been cancelled and will never come back, but you owe it to yourself to see. Kings. =) It is a semi modern retelling of the story of David and Saul. Very nicely done. Just no room on television anymore for a show that takes religion seriously.
