For those of you unaware, my littlest brother Joshua is currently on an LDS mission. You know like white shirt, tie, tag and a companion. You see them all the time before turning off your lights and pretending you aren’t home. Well anyways, missions are usually 24 months long and during that time you don’t usually go home at all and phone calls are limited to a couple of times a year, while letter writing becomes your new favorite hobby. The rules are set so you can have time to focus on what is important.
Josh has been out for about 2 months. He left a girlfriend at home. I met her once. She was very sweet, but utterly, painfully shy (so much more so than you Sarah R.) I could only get like 2 sentences out of her, so I was really surprised when she asked to be my friend on Facebook. Apparently she has a much easier time talking to nameless masses on hyperspace (much like I do, not that anyone has probably ever called me shy), since she updates her status every day or two.
It’s completely cute and sad, she writes about Josh all the time. I’m like, awww, someone loves my baby brother, how cute. I keep on thinking wow, I married my husband at the age my baby brother’s girlfriend is now. I’m actually quite happy for him to have found someone who loves him for him and they seem like a perfect match.
Hey, Märia you sound like you’re feeling old or something. We are working to ensure the Madi does not submit applications for another 22 months; we’ll see how that goes…
