Some days with children are just average, you get up, bathe the kids, feed the kids, play with the kids, go to sleep. Some are just magical and special and just perfect and you think man, I could have a million of these guys with the joy they bring into my life. And then there are days like today.
Where you’ve been planning the day for a week, a special day just for the kids. But then they wake up with fits and when you get to the kid’s place all they do is whine and complain about everything. By the end of the day you send them to bed an hour early because obviously they’re tired, plus if they stay up any longer someone’s going to die either you or them. And they don’t want to go to bed so you begin giving idle incomplete threats “I don’t care, go to bed or so help me!….”
I almost feel sorry for my mom–I remember her saying those words to me and I’m sure I caused the same frustrations. But then I remember there are no little monsters living in her house anymore, and I don’t feel so sorry for her anymore.

There are wonderful rewards for caring for your children and occasionally being frustrated; my favorite is GRANDCHILDREN! I love, Love, LOVE them on so many levels! I guess in this case the best is watching YOU deal with them.
Hang in there, love you BUNCHES,
Mom
