We asked the kids if they wanted to do anything in particular before school started in a few days. Felicity said she really wanted to go to an aquarium.
Today we went to Tropicarium Park, an aquarium/inside small zoo, and La Fabbrica della Scienza, a hands on science museum. They’re about an 1.5 hour drive away. Lots of fun! I recommend them if you’re local.
Also, new fun fact of the day that I had no idea. African penguins are also called jackass penguins. When I first saw it, I was sure it was a mistranslation. Nope, completely real. They’re called that for the noise they make that sound like donkeys. I guess the name does not have a negative word association here in Italy so they saw no problem with labeling the sign that way.
