Okies, so I have officially been out of the active military for a year now, really 13 months, as I actually left in mid February with several weeks of terminal leave. I left active military service at roughly 235 lbs, and topped out my weight maybe a month ago at 276 lbs. Today I weighed 261. Märia has been on my case ever since I did my physical and came out with high blood pressure. So yeah, a year without any significant running can do a doosy on the body. In the 12 months prior to the last 3 weeks I ran the Great Aloha Run twice and a marathon last June I think it was. Maybe 4 or 5 runs besides when my most wonderful wife made me. That has to change now, or I will end up over 400 lbs and dead at 50. So here is today’s run, my 5th run since the Great Aloha Run where Märia so easily ground me into dust, and here is a link to my weight loss tracking file that I have kept faithfully for a whole 8 days now.
Wow! Keep up the great work.
But you need to up you Caleries. 815 cal is not enough for for a 100 lb woman little lone a great big man. For your hieght and gender your cal intake to lose lb’s should be 1600-2000, depending on level of activity.
By the way I love you Weight loss chart. Can you put something like that on a blog? I would love to use it myself.
BTW did you get your package?
Love you
Actually, the cals shows how many calories are estimated to have been burned during the run. And no, we have not received a package…
Good for you Steven; keep it up. If your knees and plantar tendon hold up you will be fine up to 80 or so years…
Congratulations, Steven! We have been running, too. It’s hard for me, but I am determined. We’ve been working on it for the last two years, with a big break for our move. I have finally hit three miles without stopping, and feel like a wimp compared to you. It’s nice to think of all of my running heroes while I am out there wondering if I can make the next hill. You keep me going!
