Look At What MY Body Can Do!

Kay 26.2 miles later I am S O R E! Like incredibly more sore then before. I can tell you with complete certainty that training for a marathon and running it is significantly different than NOT training for a marathon and running it. I seriously thought I was going to pass out at the Finish Line. But I did make it there, 6 hours 22 minutes and 59 seconds later. I have the T-shirt, medal, and blisters to prove it.

My music was awesome. I was listening to The Haunting by Anberlin when the gun was shot at the Start Line (Your spirit I can’t see, but I believe, I can feel your breath on me) and Uprising by Muse when I crossed the Finish Line (We will be victorious). I probably listened to Starstruckk by 3OH!3 about 20 times (Nice legs, Daisy dukes, makes a man go {whistles}). I don’t hardly ever listen to that song and was kind of surprised when I found it on my iPod. But I’ll tell you what it’s perfect for running a marathon (Push it baby, Push it baby).

Off to eat a bottle of motrin and soak in a bathtub of ice.

  1. *While Märia was writing this post*

“What is that thing you get on your skin… on your foot.. it is a bubble”

    “Um, a blister?”

    “Yeah, thanks!”

    “That’s funny Märia!” *me laughing*

    “I’m tired and sore!”

    *me still laughing* =)

  2. Now, Steven you need to be supportive! Remember you were there once and might be again someday. Where is that Motrin? Oh, we are out of ice? Someone put it in the bathtub!

    Love you,

  3. WOW! That is awsome. I wish it was me.

I am currently trying to train for the OKC Marethon in Late April. But to be honest it will probubly be another Half marathon.
