In the past month or so both girls have out grown their shoes. It’s really easy to get bigger shoes for Felicity. Just look through Seporah’s old shoes. Felicity proudly displayed them for all to see. She thought it was soooooo cool that she was getting new shoes, at least until she realized the old ones (yes the ones that were so small they were leaving marks in her ankles) were taken away from her.
Seporah we had to go buy shoes for. Which sounds fun to me, but not for my little tomboy. She whined the entire time. She didn’t want to try any on for fit. I gave her options of browns or pinks or purples or blacks, “NO BROWN! NO PINK! NO PURPLE! NO BLACK!!!!!!!” She kicked and whined and kicked some more (Felicity on the other hand was trying on every pair of shoes in sight). I eventually figured out Seporah’s a size 10 and bought her 2 on clearance (because really if she doesn’t care what color, I’m just going with what’s cheapest, they’re all pretty cute).
We left the shoe aisle with shoes only for Seporah to Felicity’s great dismay, “NO!!!! SHOES!!!!!” I thought about getting shoes for Felicity I did, but I couldn’t justify spending the money on them when she already had 3 new pairs of hand me downs from Seporah (really, how many pairs of shoes does a one year old need).
When we got home Seporah put on her “princess shoes,” they look like white Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz’s shoes. Then we strolled down to the park (and Seporah took off her shoes) where I took pictures since I haven’t done that in a couple of weeks. After we were done Steven looked at me and said “Hey we didn’t even get any with your dad!” oops.
Did not get any what with me? Shoes? That’s okay, Pam can attest that I don’t like shopping very much. Glad you guys had a nice day!
Love you, Grandpa Russ
Pictures of course! Mom would kill me but I’m safe an ocean away. You however, when you get home…
You are right, he was in trouble. I sent my wonderful camera with him with a 2 gb card that was empty. He was assigned to get lots of pictures with you guys. He told me while he was there that he was getting lots. So I stopped asking. When he was at the airport I asked how many he thought he took; his response: “oh, lots, like 15 or 20.” He is so lucky he still had a week in Korea before he came home.
Grump, grump.
Thanks for sharing all the cute pictures of the girls at the park though.
Love you,
Mom
