My Daily Goals

So I have all these things I’d like to do and I don’t really know how to do all of them. Here’s a [short] list [in no particular order] of the things I need to do everyday:

Train for the San Diego Marathon
Read for pleasure
Read for education
Cook interesting, healthy meals
Maintain a clean house
Work a full time job
Educate my children
Maintain some sort of a social life
Write posts
Go to the bazillion appointments and evaluations that have popped up recently
Learn to play the piano well
Play with my children
Clean and clothe my children
Maintain and encourage a relationship with my husband
Return phone calls
Make cute bentos
Grocery shopping
Shopping for the other endless things that need gotten

I’m afraid a lot of things come out half-baked or placed on the back burner. It’s rather a bummer. I’m not sure how some people have it all together. Oh this is also why we do not have any television stations. I don’t have a clue how I’d do any of these if I was glued to the TV 2-3 hours a day.

It’s nice having Steven out of the army though. He’s not getting all these phone calls. And we don’t have to worry about how we’re going to manage each day (ie how are we going to get where we’re going and what are we doing with the children). Oh and even though I’m actually working the same amount of hours outside the home, the amount of diapers that I have to change or dishes I have to wash has decreased significantly, it’s quite nice (yeah for Steven).

Oh and next Monday, I’m going to sit in a dentist chair for 3 hours getting a crown. I am so less than excited 🙁 Sympathy please.

  1. LOTS OF SYMPATHY HERE! Poor dear!
I’ve never had one, but saw on my insurance that if I did get one, I’d have to pay for half of it, so I am imagining it will be tough on the pocketbook AND a pain in the mouth.

    Poor, Poor, Dear!
    Love you,
    Mom
