I Kinda Want My $2.99 Back

I bought a trash mag (that’s not normal for me, BTW). No, I’m not talking about Cosmopolitan (that actually has some words that may count as reading in some people’s minds). I’m talking about the February 9, 2009 issue of Life&Style. You know the one that chronicles Brad and Angelina’s ever growing brood and Brittney and Kevin’s ever growing umm…whatever.

I can now say that Evan Rachel Wood looked amazingly stunning at the SAG Awards (what IS that BTW?). And if you want to lose 20 lbs you should probably eat more salads and less cheeseburgers just like American Idol’s Kimberly Caldwell (now that’s a big secret revealed). Oh and the little Brangelina baby boy Knox wore a matching hat as his Daddy in the Tokyo airport (who names their kids Knox?! I mean seriously that has so much mean elementary school potential).

But the real reason I bought it was because there was a picture of Robert Pattinson on the front (google him if you must, or just guess, you probably could if you thought about it for 2 seconds). I flipped to the “article” and was immediately a little grossed out. See apparently he was a model before he was an actor and when he was 12 years old he did this shirtless ad and I’m like hello? Desperate adult women buy this magazine, isn’t it a little pedophilish to put a half naked child in it (even if he is 22 now…wait…how is he younger than me?).

Anyway, I guess one good thing came from buying the issue. I learned that colored tights are in this season, since I’ve seen no one wear them yet, I’ll just run out and buy them to be the first technicolor teacher at church.

Then again, maybe not.

BTW, have you noticed when something serious is weighing on my mind, the more mindless my posts become (and the more sarcastic add ons to the end of sentences in parentheses show up)?
