You know I am so flippin’ excited about Steven getting out of the military. Seriously very few people have any clue (when Steven tells everyone about the last 14 months more people will have an idea). I digress, the thing right now that I’m really excited about is having a cleaner house. With both of us working full time the last couple of months it’s insane. I’m not exactly sure how people do it for longer periods of time. We’re both so exhausted from work and children that cleaning is on the back burner. I don’t consider myself a messy person, but my house sure is. Oh this is an actual conversation this morning with my youngest brother Josh.
J: So Steven gets out in a couple of months.
M: Yep, Cool huh?
J: What’s he gonna do afterwards?
M: Be a Stay-At-Home-Dad.
J: Really? That’s awesome. So are you gonna work full time then.
M: I already am, since December.
J: Wow. That’s insane
M. Yep
J: No wonder you won’t talk to me.
M: What do you mean?
J: I called you 3 days in a row a couple of weeks ago and you never returned my phone call.
M: Yeah, sorry about that, phone calls are one of the last things on my mind.
It will be so nice for you to have the change, have Steven at home more and get a breather from the military. I don’t know how you are doing what you are doing and accomplishing so much. Don’t worry about the dirty house. Houses will continue to get dirty the rest of your life; but these days with the girls will never return . . . so keep going to the beach, and taking sweet pictures to remember the day.
