So this morning I took pictures of Steven and Seporah making Sunday morning breakfast. It was cute as I’ll get out (it’s cute everytime they cook actually). But I couldn’t get the pictures on the computer. The great thing about have a tech nerd for a husband is we have all the coolest gadgets (he beta tests all this stuff and we get it for free that way), plus I mean I get a husband who makes me a place to blog about whatever. The bad part, once I get use to how to work things, he changes them (there’s something new and techy here everyday “Look what I got!!!”).
Usually everything that plugs into the computer sits in a special place and all I have to do is plug it in. I plugged in the camera AND…nothing. Which means he’s played with the wiring. You’d think that would just mean I could detangle the wires and plug A into B. But no, that’s not the way it is at our house because A plugs into B plugs into C plugs into D plugs into E plugs into the computer. You think I’m exaggerating, but I’m not. That’s why I told him he had to make the special place so all I had to do was plug in the camera or the phone or the iPod or what not and it would work. Let’s not even talk about what’s hooked up the the TV (and remember we don’t have cable, so it’s more like the VUDU, PS2, Wii, XBox and I’m not sure what else).
Oh and another thing about having a tech nerd for a husband, he looks at all the tech toys all the time. I really wanted an iPod Touch, but we really couldn’t budget one in. He actually got his from this year’s military clothing allowance (he’s getting out anyways, I don’t care what his uniforms look like). I got home yesterday from work and he showed me he’d bought one brand new.
Steven hello, aren’t these like $400? I didn’t need one that badly.
Well, I got it brand new on an online auction place for $103, cool huh, wanna open it?
Well yeah! That is pretty cool.
(I guess I’m pretty nerdy too)
Just so you know, I had shown her probably 5 times already where to plug it in, and she never learns. Granted, the ports look similar to something else, so I can understand getting mixed up once or twice, but come on! I think she got it this time though… =) (I didn’t change anything!)
Thanks for the laugh both of you!! And, enjoy your new nerdy toy Märia. Still waiting for the cute picture when you get the chance.
Love you,
Mom
