One of my patients is turning 9 next week. She’s been getting presents in the mail the past couple of days. One of them was a mp3 player. She took it out of the package and it had a few songs preprogramed on it, so she started listening to it. She looks at me and her mom, scrunches up her face and says, “This is terrible! This is awful!” This little girl is quite religious and modest, so in my mind I’m thinking, Oh no, it’s got a song with a bunch of swear words on it, don’t people realize maybe some little girl is listening! Her mom took the earphones and started laughing, “It’s country.”
Well, at least you can be grateful that that mother is raising her daughter properly. No country here…after all, that is not music 😉

You know they did multiple samples of country vs deathmetal and country vs rap, and country music had just as many morally bad refrences as it’s comparison. (sex/drugs/violence/ alcohol)

HEY!!! What is wrong with country!! I happen to love country music. The wife and I have been to almost a dozen different country artist concerts in the past 5 years (got a lot of free tickets when I lived in Cali.)
