The Call of The Toy Store is loud indeed, especially in (almost) December. Mildly annoying. I’m trying to avoid it by getting up early and going to bed late working on the girls’ present. I really don’t want to buy them anything else since they have everything in their room, but decided they needed something from me anyways. So I am making it, I’ll have to post when I’m finished, my creativity is sure to astound you (and even if it doesn’t please dispense with the “ohhs” and “ahhs” so I feel cool and crafty).
Seporah is enjoying all the decorated trees. Every store she goes into she takes an ornament off and asks for the pretty ball. I keep on telling her we’ll have one in our house soon enough but she doesn’t seem to believe me. And of course, Felicity wants whatever Seporah has so then she wants a pretty ball too. Not sure what I’m going to do with my ornaments this year as 95% of them are breakable and I have 2 toddlers.
I really want to try making Origami Ornaments this year. I have not yet figured out how to do this. Just an idea that is non-breakable. So yep, if you happen to have an Origami book, please let me know.
It would be so fun to see the girls’ reaction to all the Christmas things – from the tree and ornaments to Santa to the fun surprise you are making them. I can’t wait to see what it is!
I am really excited, too BUT today is thanksgiving and what a spread we had this year. As you know we are in California this year with Bob/Rhonda family, Verle/Sharon Yeske, Verle Jr/Doris Yeske, Kevin Mitchell and his family, Märia and Mike Montgomery, and us for a total of 19.
Wish you guys could have been here but I also hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.
Love you guys, Grandpa Russ
