Part-Time Stay-At-Home-Mom Here

You know it doesn’t really matter that I did the dishes and put them away, or made breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as a few short order snacks, or changed 10 diapers, or cleaned the living room, or picked up the toys in the kid’s room, or read monotonous board books over and over, or played a bean activity with the girls, or colored with the girls, or disciplined Seporah, or sat and rocked away a few boo-boos, or washed 6 loads of laundry today (yes that was ALL today). Apparently the only that matters is that I did not fold the laundry I washed today.

There are a myriad of reasons why I work outside the home part time. And I am not ashamed to admit one of them is to hear, “Wow, Märia you did a great job today!” or “It’s nice to see you today!” or even “Thanks!” There is little to no recognition and appreciation in working inside the home and the pay really sucks too.

  1. Folding the laundry; who cares about folding the laundry? After doing that much work, I would not care what others thought; I would just take a nap!

Okay, are you feeling unappreciated? Tell Steven and the girls they need to do a better job in this area. We appreciate the great job you are doing with our granddaughters.

Pat, Pat, Pat (In case you did not pick up on it, that was a pat on the back!) 🙂

    Love you all, Grandpa Russ
