Today I received my very first speeding ticket.

On-base or off-base? It may make a difference on insurance. I hope you slow down now, life is too precious to loose if you are reckless.
Oh yea; I got a speeding ticket (1st in 20 years) in Wyoming last March; so who am I to talk 🙁 Life is funny and then you drive slower…
BTW: I passed the motorcycle safety course yesterday with a 95%. I rode my motorcycle to work today for the first time. I was nervous but it went okay. Maybe I can get the hang of this two-wheeled transporter someday!

Go to the court date if at all possible. Not sure about Hawaii, but here in WA you get one thrown out every 5 years without any repurcussions, just have to pay small court fee (about half the ticket price here). Of course, if you did happen to get it on post, you could go to the next town hall meeting and whine about it…what do you think, Steven? (lol 😉

I say that’s pretty good, for how long you’ve been in Hawaii! Those guys can drive in POVs, so if you’re not looking for that blue light on top…kinda scary. Sorry. =(
