But he interrupted a conversation another guy and I were having concerning how many people collectivism had killed and the evils of collectivism by saying “we” (the United States, Americans) were just as bad as anyone else. His example to prove his point? The bombing of Bikini Atoll. Really. This conversation that he wasn’t even a party of was discussing the 9,000,000 dead in Hitlers camps (including 6,000,000 Jews, lest I get yelled at for not mentioning them by name), the 20,000,000 of his own countrymen that Stalin killed, the 2.2 million killed by Polpot (out of a country of only 7 million!) and who knows how many killed by Red China. His example to show how we are just as bad as these examples which were all given, along with others, was to say that we bombed the Bikini Atoll. We relocated 300 (hundred!) natives to other islands, and bombed an island. Those natives, and all of their descendants over the past 50 years have received free medical and untold amounts of money in doles from the United States government. And this is to be compared to Hitler and Stalin and Mao. Really. And after saying this, he has the gall to say “Some would say that it is better to be silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it”. This guy is teaching Hawaiian Juniors and Seniors English! His English is excellent by the way. =) And he goes on to feign ignorance when I say that he didn’t further any discussion by calling me a fool. “I didn’t say that at all, you did!” And for Google’s sake, the man’s name: Stephen Duncan

you are such a better person than I am… I totally would have let that guys have it.
The next sentences out of my mouth would have probably been like this:
1. I’m sorry, was someone talking to you?
2. And, btw, moving 300 people and than bombing an island isn’t even in the same catogory as killing millions of people
3. And about that proving you’re a fool thing.. You are totally right.. a second ago.. I had no CLUE you were a fool.
