My Domestic Abilities are Expanding

It’s called a Taggie and believe me, they are all the rage in today’s baby consumerism population, google Taggies if you don’t believe me. I made it for a good friend who’s having a baby. They have waited a loonnnggg time for him. I was so thrilled and bought her some stuff, but the stuff (although super cute) really didn’t feel personal at all. So I was like dude, I just bought a sewing machine and I’m gonna start making excuses to use it. I used 3 different types of soft feeling fabrics (don’t ask me what they’re called) and I thought it turned out well. Felicity and Seporah said it was “actually really, really soft” and tried to insist they were the babies that needed it.

Cool! I love the minkee one (bottom picture)
I have thought about using some of my scraps to make a few of those, to give away at the food shelter. But I would have to buy the ribbon and the Minkee.
Good job!

WOW, I just googled these things and you weren’t kidding. They are all the rage.
Although I do have to say, yours looks a lot better than the commercial ones, and probably has a bit more love in it than those ones too.
I might have to try my hand and make one just for the heck of it.

Märia, you are totally my hero! I am so impressed. I thought I was doing good making aloha ties for Jared. You totally rock! I think I could maybe get a sewing machine while Jared is deployed and see if I can learn a thing or two. I think everyone in my family would probably die from shock.
