I am accepting my defeat. I apologize to everyone for letting you down, but college has defeated all attempts to 1. keep running 2. lose weight 3.write a novel
As I publicly made these goals public, I am publicly denouncing them as well.

You can do what ever you set your mind to. Just take it one step at a time. I learned a long time ago, I personally can only handle 1 goal at a time. So decide what needs priority and go for it. You can do it! And remember we love you even if you do not write the great American novel in 1 month. Some times it takes years.

Well, Jason…running, weight loss, and writing a novel are all worthy goals but they won’t pay the rent. I suggest you concentrate on your English work and go on to finishing your degree. Life is a lot easier when you make a comfortable living…
Keep the faith! Oh and trying running less, maybe only two miles every other day…it helps reduce stress from English homework
other than encouragement and to tell you to step back and prioritize (and take a deep breath), can we help in any other way? What are the requirements and rubric for English 101? Can I help talk you through assignments and offer ideas?
School is stressful and tough but you are the man who made it through boot camp while I was taking a walking class. We had to work up to walking 3 miles on a track that had this really really really steep hill. Suicide hill was the baby hill compared to this. You were my inspiration to keep walking. I finally graduated and you are way smarter than me. Do keep running to help with the stress but don’t set high standards for it that may not be in your best interest right now. Have faith in yourself as there are many others who have faith in you. Love Ya!
Yeah, well that marathon I’m going to run, that’s not ever really going to happen. And this baby fat isn’t going anywhere a far as I can tell. And the closest thing I come to writing a novel is this. So you be the captain and I’ll first mate. I’m thinking we can avoid any and all homework there.
