Okay, it’s 5:30 am, and I am up after a call from answering service (never can go back to sleep after those, darn it), so I got curious and checked out the blog page. VERY interesting and true. I think it was Steven’s comment about dads being marginalized that got me. Dads ARE important, and I am oh so glad that they are more involved than ever now (as long as they actually ARE there). I think there are too many people still thinking that moms should be doing all the child rearing, which just doesn’t work out in many cases where moms work outside home too. I am so glad Steven is an involved dad, just as I am that Märia is an involved mom. The girls will benefit from it. I don’t know though: do I comment on it like the grocery store thing? HMM..

BTW: I paid a sitter when I went to the commissary when the kids were little. I ended up spending way less that way, even with the sitter thrown in, I found. Plus I enjoyed shopping much more without things being thrown (including tantrums). When we got up to 3 kids, one of them would get the ‘privilege’ of going shopping with mom. She/he would get to choose cereal and one item while there. Worked out pretty well.
